Dr. Juan Colombas is a urologist and andrologist specializing in prostate surgery, andrology, and urogenital reconstructive surgery. After completing his medical education at the University of Navarra, he finished his residency in urology at the Clínica Universidad de Navarra. He currently serves as a staff urologist at the Valencian Institute of Oncology (IVO).
He possesses extensive experience in treating benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), with particular expertise in Holmium laser enucleation of the prostate (HoLEP)—a procedure he has performed over 100 times. Furthermore, he focuses on urethral reconstructive surgery, utilizing both minimally invasive techniques, such as Optilume, and more invasive procedures, including urethroplasty.
His international training and experience include clinical rotations at the Hospital de Bellvitge (Barcelona) and the Hospital Lyon Sud (France), where he honed his skills in urolithiasis and reconstructive surgery, respectively. He has authored several scientific articles in international journals on topics such as prostate cancer and renal transplantation.
